Saurabh Mistari

Saurabh is a severe case of mental retardation. His condition is so severe that he was deemed unfit to even go out and get a haircut from the local barber. Thus, his mother would cut his hair at home in ways she could, even if that meant uneven sometimes! Saurabh can sometimes get difficult to handle given the fact that he easily gets restless and sometimes even aggressive which is well demonstrated by his habit of snatching other residents’ food to eat. It took a lot of effort and patience to change this habit of his, but finally, it happened. Today, he is one of the most obedient residents of ANIKET; he complies to what he is told to do. However, to make him independent enough for him to bathe on his own, clothe himself, etc. there’s a long way to go.
