Sangita Dhekale

Having lost her father at a young age, Sangita Dhekale is a wonderful testimony of being raised by another brave single mother. Living the circumstance of no support, financial or moral, Sangita’s mother foraged through various city schools for Sangita’s education. However, due to their condition of not being able to afford a conventional fee structure, no school made a reasonable choice. This is when she foraged harder and came to know about Kalpana Tai’s ANIKET. She approached Tai with a lot of hope and was glad that Tai accepted Sangita’s admission with no fees at all!

Sangita is a case of mild intellectual disability. She loves to dance and play; the 17 medals she has won in sports including running and floor hockey are proof of her fervour for sport. However, she sometimes lacks motivation and only the right guidance and means can direct her profusion of skill towards something lucrative.
